Tips
The Pöllat Gorge is a deep gorge directly below Neuschwanstein Castle. From certain vantage points along the hiking trail from the castle toward Tegelberg, or along the circular path around the castle, you can enjoy unobstructed views of the gorge and the castle. Zimmermannsplatz, located just below the castle, is particularly popular. From there, you have a fantastic view of both the castle and the wildly rugged Pöllat Gorge.
