    Mountain biking

If the weather is nice, you have to expect a lot of pedestrians here. So maybe it's better to time the time so that day trippers are not yet or no longer on the road;)

The water from the pond was used until 1930 to operate the Scheermühle, which was built in the 17th century. This is indicated by a wooden coat of arms in the gable of the roof of the half-timbered house.

    Scheerweiher nature reserve

The Scheerweiher was already created in the Middle Ages as a reservoir. Later it served as a water collection point, on the one hand to supply the city of Ansbach with sufficient water in the event of a fire and on the other hand to fill the moats of the city's defense systems. As a result, an ecosystem almost untouched by human influences was able to develop over several hundred years, which today is one of the most diverse still water ecosystems in Middle Franconia.
