The little town of Biesenthal enchants with a historic old town that is being renovated bit by bit. Particularly beautiful: the old town hall, built between 1762 and 1768. If you want to take a look down at the city, you can do so from the Kaiser-Friedrich-Turm. A number of natural monuments can also be found here, such as the proud 130-year-old English oak on the market square.

The historic old town, which has been gradually renovated since 1996 and is completely under monument protection, is worth seeing. The office of the Tourism Association of Barnim Nature Park is now located in the former coffee shop at the Ratskeller, whose owner advertised "regular coffee from boxing world champion Max Schmeling and other celebrities". The old station was expanded as a cultural station. In 2004 Biesenthal was named "Nature Park City".
