Topkapi Palace

For centuries, Topkapi Palace in Istanbul was the residence and seat of government of the sultans and the administrative center of the Ottoman Empire.

The Topkapi shines with various top sights such as the Spoonmaker's Diamond, the Topkapi dagger, the areas of weapons, clocks and porcelain that are well worth seeing, as well as a brilliant view from the terrace on the Golden Horn.

Topkapı Palace was the center of power in the Ottoman Empire and was built in the 15th century by Sultan Mehmet II. Literally translated the "Cannon Gate Palace", it was initially called the New Palace until the 19th century. After the fall of the Ottoman Empire in 1923, the palace is now a museum that houses the largest knowledge base and memoirs of Ottoman glory.
