Tips

The Clayton Windmills, known locally as Jack and Jill, are fine examples of old windmills that the public can explore on Sundays and holidays during the summer. They comprise a post mill, a tower mill, and the roundhouse of a former post mill. All three are Grade II-listed. For opening times and more information, visit: jillwindmill.org.uk.

Two old windmills that are open to the public for visits. There is an adjacent parking that is the ideal starting point for a ramble along the tops towards Ditchling Beacon.

When you get there, make sure you complete the small square circuit around the Windmills. Different viewpoints of the windmills. Also don't forget to turn your back to them and look out over the Sussex countryside.
