A very picturesque Sussex village but... be prepared for congestion, particularly if heading north-south, as the village has old narrow streets with on-street parking and can’t cope with the volumes of traffic that pass through.

Can get busy, but a couple of coffee shops and of course gateway to Ditchling Beacon, so don't eat too much.

It's the gorgeous Sussex village that gives its name to the infamous climb. But you can stop here first, filling up on supplies, or downing them to shift weight and you can visit one of the cosy pubs for a bite to eat and a swift half to give you some courage for the big ascent of the Beacon.
