It is one of the few areas that have no roads and hardly paths, along the Moosach. The area has been declared a nature reserve. It provides flora and fauna (especially in the grassland nesting ground breeders) habitat, which is otherwise less and less.

If you are out and about in the Brucker Moos, you need one thing above all: good shoes. The ground under fields and meadows is wet in many places, the water is mainly in those areas that have already been renatured, just below the surface. It has always been wet here in the valley between Bruck in the north and the Pausmühle in the south. Before farmers began to cultivate the area, around 1880, a high moor stretched over about 400 hectares.
