Hiking
The Bodenwiese is a large forest clearing in the municipality of Bürg-Vöstenhof in the Neunkirchen district of Lower Austria. It is located west of Bürg and Vöstenhof in the Gahns, a large mountain plateau southeast of the Schneeberg, with the Bodenwiese opening up the plateau in a north-south direction and, with an area of 97 hectares, is also the largest alpine meadow in Lower Austria. At the southern end of the meadow is the Waldburgangerhütte. Between July and September 1944, Hungarian Jews were quartered on the Bodenwiese and forced to do forced labor.
