Nafplio is a city in eastern Peloponnese. It is the seat of the municipality of Nafplio, the capital of the Regional Unit of Argolida, and one of the main ports of eastern Peloponnese. According to the 2021 census, it had 14,532 inhabitants. The historic center of the city has been classified as a traditional settlement, and it was the capital of Greece during the period 1827 - 1834.
