Old smithy: In the 19th century, the village smithy was located in the old building. As the handicraft became less and less important in the 20th century, the handicraft was abandoned and the old building was vacant.
In the 80s the property was acquired by the city of Hillesheim and extensively renovated in 1981. Since then, the building has served the residents of Bolsdorf as the center of the village.

In the period 1966-1974 the building was used as a youth room. In 1974 it was bought by the municipality of Bolsdorf and expanded into a community center by 1978 . The building was extensively renovated in 2009 and has since been used for celebrations by the local population.
