Paterzell Glider Airfield

The route has recently been paved throughout (including the section between the exit from the forest to the airfield, which Komoot still shows as a loose surface with broken lines).
The impeccable sections of the old asphalt remain, the rest is completely new. Overall, the track is now nice and smooth and predestined for racing bikes without holes or bumps. It rolls very nicely, especially from Kugelsbühl towards the airfield.Another note for racing cyclists: During flight operations you are not allowed to drive over the airfield but must drive over Moosmühle and the short section towards Zellsee is not paved.

A great place to take a break on a bike tour, as you can watch the flight operations in a relaxed manner.
At the northern end of the airfield there is also a bench on the edge of the reeds.
