Bow Lake is the headwaters of the Bow River, which flows south through the city of Calgary and then empties into the Oldman River and ultimately into Hudson Bay. The Icefields Parkway runs along the lake and is a good place to see the Crowfoot Glacier & Mountain and Mount Thompson.
