Recently, the path has been significantly improved. It has been widened, paved with smooth concrete, and the barriers have been adjusted so cyclists can pass through easily. The route runs alongside the edge of DierenPark Amersfoort and follows the train tracks, offering a varied and green landscape. It's a popular route among recreational cyclists and road cyclists – and for good reason: it's smooth to ride and really feels like a slice of nature right in the city. Perfect for a relaxed ride or as part of a longer journey towards Soest or Amersfoort.

There is now a fast cycle path along the entire route between Soestduinen and Amersfoort. The Monnikenboschpad along the Dierenpark Amersfoort was the last old section of cycle path and has now also been widened and partly relocated. The cycle path has also been given a concrete surface. So keep on riding.
