Old Town of Haßfurt

The graceful old town, still recognizable in its original layout as an elongated rectangle, is crossed by the broad main street and bordered by the two large city towers.

"A pedestrian zone through the city center" I did not notice. Was it offline today?
As far as I know, the city center is cordoned off to certain events, such as the music and arts festival and then in fact to the pedestrian area.

In her coat of arms, the city of Hassfurt, which was first mentioned in documents at the beginning of the 13th century, bears a jumping golden hare. It is sometimes said in this context that the name of the city goes back to a particularly shallow part of the Main, which allowed even "hares" (or even "rabbit feet") to cross the river.
