The Montgó Nature Park, located between Dénia and Jávea, rises impressively above the Costa Blanca coast with its limestone massif reaching up to 753 meters. Protected since 1987, it encompasses over 2,100 hectares and is home to an extraordinary diversity of plants and animals – from lavender and dwarf palms to eagles, eagle owls, and genets. In addition to numerous hiking trails, the park also offers routes for mountain bikers and cyclists that lead through Mediterranean vegetation zones, past rock formations, and with views as far as the island of Ibiza. Thus, the Montgó combines sporting challenge with impressive natural experiences and is one of the region's most beautiful destinations.
