The fairly steep gradient of 10% – even 13% just before Hirsau – allows you to pick up quite a bit of speed. Be careful on the long bend – it's very exposed to the wind and therefore often a bit more difficult. In Hirsau itself, the speed limit is 40 km/h again – so don't use your flashers (there are two opportunities for that in a row) 🤭

If you want to turn right after the bridge onto the Nagold Valley Cycle Path, you should brake hard, as the curve is >90° and the area is very confusing.

Uphill, however, I wouldn't necessarily recommend it.

There's often just too much traffic here, including lots of trucks.

I usually take the Fuchsklinge road for the ascent out of the Nagold Valley, even though the narrow road there isn't exactly safe either.
