A breathtaking view from the Griffalou Rock, from where you can admire the old riverbed of the Lesse (La Chavée) and the occasional resident of the animal park.
At your feet also lies the exceptional "dry valley" or "chavée," or, more simply, the former riverbed of the Lesse. The site is absolutely exceptional from a geological and geomorphological perspective. The old riverbed of the Lesse has completely filled in, and the valley is now occupied by meadows and crops. The Lesse flows into the Cave of Han at the Gouffre de Belvaux (only visible if you visit the animal park), and in the event of a major flood, the river returns to its former course, flooding the entire plain. On the horizon, from left to right, you can also see: - The satellite communication antennas in Lessive - A red and white telecommunications relay antenna - A windmill in Chevetogne marking the beginning of the Condroz region - The Royal Castle of Ciergnon.
