Alt Eberstein Castle is one of the three castles on the Black Forest hills surrounding Baden-Baden. It served as a grand defensive fortification for the Margraviate of Baden. The ruins offer fantastic views over the Black Forest, the Rhine plain, and the Vosges Mountains. There's also a pleasant restaurant for a rest, open from April to November. In summer, there's a beer garden.
