In 1783, Katzelsdorf became a parish of its own through the separation from Lanzenkirchen and this church was named a parish church. The church is single nave, has a ribbed vault and two early baroque side chapels. The interior is late Baroque. The Madonna statue on the high altar dates from the 14th century.
