I grew up there and know the area, including the Isarhangleite, like the back of my hand. It is a pleasure to be there both by bike and on foot. On the "Space Mountain" descent you should be a little "cautious" (or not do it at all) as you can easily damage the slope there. For this reason, driving on this "challenge" is rather not recommended from a nature conservation point of view.

Mountain biking

The military training area is worth seeing. The view is fantastic and because of the different terrain (tar, pavement, gravel, concrete, up / down etc., very interesting for biking. The terrain was used by tanks for exercise and is now prohibited for motorized vehicles. The terrain can be reached in different ways and there is a challenging single trail in the forest.
