The water station is located in the middle of the forest at kilometer 29.551 on the Gmünd - Groß Gerungs line. In 1999 it served as a film set for the film "Gripsholm" based on a novel by Kurt Tucholsky. Of particular interest to railway enthusiasts is the wooden tunnel inspection frame, which was previously used to carry out maintenance work in the 262-meter-long Bruderndorf Tunnel.

Mountain biking

Here, in the middle of the forest, the locomotives of the Waldviertlerbahn take on water after the ascent. A sign tells you a lot about the station. You can also find out how Bruderndorf became the Swedish Mariefred. The station is located directly on the Stierberg mountain bike tour route.
