At the Herzoghorn there is an extensive network of hiking trails. The mountain is usually climbed by Bernau, by Menzenschwand (about the Spießhörner) or by the Feldbergpass on the Grafenmatt. The two mountain ranges from the Herzogenhorn to the south, in the direction of St. Blasien and to the west, over the Bernauer cross to Hasenhorn at Todtnau are popular hiking areas.
In good weather, as well as from the north of Feldberg and the west of Belchen, the Herzogenhorn offers a panoramic view of the Alps from the Zugspitze in the southeast to Mont Blanc in the southwest. In the west, the Vosges can be seen across the Rhine plain. The characteristic high summit cross of the Herzogenhorn can be reached from the Feldbergpass in about 75 minutes.

The Herzogenhorn is located in the immediate vicinity of the Feldberg and impresses in the early morning so that you can simply enjoy its peace alone and can experience the outstanding nature around .. a summit with summit cross and book and a few seats, beautifully accessible from Grafenmatt or even steeper and more demanding from Bernau.

View around mountains like Belchen, Feldberg and the Swiss Alps - with good weather conditions and foresight. Not too crowded, good seating and picnic opportunities and the opportunity to take some great pano photos in sunshine and light wind. Ideal for hot summer days.
