Guano Creek Campground was used as an overflow site for the Hart Mountain Hot Springs. As of 2024, the campground is closed and already pretty overgrown and blocked by fallen trees and tree limbs. So even if it is still on your map, this is not an option to pitch a tent and also prohibited. We had to camp further north on the road that was still closed for vehicles in early June. There is also a good water source running over the road in spring.
