The Church of Santiago stands on an imposing platform with a grand staircase. The sober, uncluttered and straight exterior contrasts with the richness of the interior, where the paintings, carvings and tile panels stand out. The temple, consisting of a single large nave, typically from the 18th century, is flanked by the arches of the chapels of Mannerist and Baroque inspiration.

Hiking

The current Church of Santiago is the successor to the primitive chapel dedicated to the patron saint of the order, originally built inside the castle, next to the town hall and the convent. Construction began in the early 18th century.
