Two wooden single-masted sailing boats are moored at the jetty. Their hulls are reminiscent of ships from the Viking Age, and the two replicas of former salt transport ships are actually built with a similar origin. Wide in the middle, with a bulbous bow and stern, the boat looks like a giant's canoe. Such boats were once used to transport salt from the salt pans to the port in Setúbal. Today, the replica Galeões do Sal are used for river trips with tourists, organized and run by the town hall.
