Corpus Christi Trail in the Stiftsbusch Wietmarschen with the Marienkapelle and the Josefskapelle.

The Corpus Christi Trail leads through the Stiftsbusch, which is directly adjacent to the former monastery grounds. This forest area, through which the Stiftsbach also flows, was once the wood reserve of the monastery and monastery of Wietmarschen with many large oak trees. In the Stiftsbusch there is a seven-pointed star, where seven hiking trails meet, which according to tradition were laid out by the seven ladies of the monastery in 1578 and at each end of which a silver fir was planted. The annual family pilgrimage takes place at this seven-pointed star.

There are two forest chapels on the Corpus Christi Trail, which leads over the seven-pointed star to the pilgrimage church in Wietmarschen. The first chapel is the Marienkapelle, which was built in 1738 by the abbess Anna Eleonora Sophia von Herding from the Hiltrup family on a bridge over the Stiftsbach stream that flows through the Stiftsbusch. The second chapel, the Joseph Chapel, is also located in this forest. The Joseph Chapel was founded in 1740 by the abbess' brother Ferdinand von Herding, a clergyman from the St. Mauritz monastery near Münster.
