The Ermita de la Concepción is a small 17th-century chapel located in the Plaza de los Abades in the historic centre of Córdoba. According to local tradition, it was built to house a statue of the Virgin of the Conception - Virgen de la Concepción - that a mason named Diego de la Rocha discovered in the walls while working on the nearby Convento de Santa Clara. The chapel was open for worship until the late 19th century. A restoration in the early 21st century restored the original colours of the portal.

Architecturally, the Ermita de la Concepción is notable for its simple façade and traditional Andalusian construction, which blends harmoniously with the surrounding historic buildings. Although no longer used for religious purposes, it remains a testament to Córdoba's rich history.

The Plaza de los Abades is presided over by this small hermitage which, according to tradition, collected by Ramírez de Arellano, was built in the seventeenth century to house an image of the Virgin of the Conception, found by a mason named Diego de la Rocha while working on the walls of the nearby convent of Santa Clara.

The façade, built in the mid-seventeenth century, is decorated with recently restored murals that imitate marble and offer a color contrast with the austerity of the unique urban environment.
