In 1759, he expanded his country estate by purchasing the neighbouring Landlust courtyard. Annexation was carried out fairly quickly: the fence and buildings of Landlust were demolished and the forests were connected to Hoogduin by paths.
On 19 July 1764, the country estate was sold by his widow Johanna Catharina Schorer. The buyer was Paulus Ribaut, a merchant in Middelburg and director of the West India Company.
