Absolutely worth seeing technology, the overburden conveyor bridge F60. The F60 conveyor bridge was used in the Klettwitz-Nord open-cast lignite mine near Klettwitz from 1991 to 1992 and is also known as the Eiffel Tower (Lusatia) because of its dimensions and comparable construction.

In Lichterfeld there is a giant of technology: 502 meters long, 204 meters wide, 80 meters high and 11,000 tons heavy, the former overburden conveyor bridge F60 tells the story of the past and present of lignite mining in Lusatia.

The visitor mine F60 is located in Lichterfeld-Schacksdorf and is definitely worth a recommendation and a visit. Even if you do not want to take the lead over the conveyor bridge, it's worth the visit. The F60 is open all year round. The entrance fees are based on what you want to join.
