    Hiking

This tree is not only a natural monument, but also a symbol for the long-term protection and appreciation of old trees in Germany.

Why is the Flintbek yew special?
    • Age & future: Yew trees can live for over 1000 years. The designation is intended to ensure that this tree can age gracefully.
    • National importance: It is one of the 100 most important trees in Germany.
    • Nature conservation: The German Dendrological Society and the Eva Mayr-Stihl Foundation support the initiative.
