Nice descent to the Albertsanlage. For mountain bikers certainly more interesting.

From Sommerberg you can reach the Philosopher's Path via the Albertsteige. Along the way, the hiker learns about the former life and works of the Amorbacher on the basis of information boards. The focus here is the processing of the red sandstone. Last but not least, the philosopher's path is also called the Amorbacher "Zaunpfostengalerie".

My way first led me to the Gotthard ruin on the mountain of the same name. On we went over to Sommerberg, past the "Sattelhütte" and the "Fuß-Pils-Hütte". The descent took place via the path S2 and finally over the Albertsteige down to Philosophenweg.
You should be sure-footed for the medium-difficult hike. Sturdy footwear prevents the risk of injuring on the sometimes steep trails.

It is probably best to run downhill than uphill. The trail meanders up the mountain in several serpentines.

The climb demands a lot from the hiker. You fight your way up like a serpentine sweating. The wide forest paths above and the wonderful impressions of nature make up for some of the drudgery.
