From the "chocolate side" one could really assume that it is a chapel. However, this is not the case, quite the opposite. This is a 300m shooting range from Tüscherz-Alfermée. Not only the large gates on the north-west side (partly visible in the first picture to the left of the stairs) point this out, but also the target slope with the targets and the bullet trap as well as adequate map material!

Tüscherz was first mentioned in 1230 as Tusschiers. In 1267 it was mentioned as Tuschers. Alfermée is first mentioned in 1276 as Alphermme.Tüscherz and Alfermée belonged to the lands of the Counts of Neuchatel-Nidau until 1388 when the counts died out and the land was acquired by Bern. Originally it was part of the municipality of Sutz, which was on the opposite side of the lake. The priest in Sutz had mass said in the chapel over Tüscherz. After the Protestant Reformation the chapel was closed, but remained part of the Sutz parish until the parish was dissolved in 1876. Tüscherz and Alfermée then became part of the parish of Twann. In 2010, the communities of Twann / Tüscherz-Alfermée and Ligerz merged to form the parish of Pilgerweg Bielersee.Source de.wikibrief.org/wiki/T%C3%BCscherz-Alferm%C3%A9e
