With the exception of the Greek Mediterranean island of Crete, nowhere else in the world are there as many windmills in one area as on Mallorca. However, their distribution on the island varies considerably. Many of the mills are in a state of disrepair, some, mostly those that characterize the townscape, have been restored. (Wikipedia)
