The parish church of Santa Maria Assunta in the village of Chiesa was built between the 16th and 17th centuries on the site of an existing church and houses numerous frescoes inside. Not far from the church, on a hill, stands the bell tower, the symbol of Montecrestese, which, at 67 meters high, is the highest bell tower in the Ossola Valley.
