    Size

    The carpet is 133 meters long and 43 meters wide, covering 60,546 square feet. That's almost the size of four Olympic-sized swimming pools.

    Design

    The carpet was designed by Iranian artist Ali Khaliqi and made by the Iran Carpet Company. It features an intricate Islamic medallion design and is predominantly green. The raised lines of the carpet help worshippers form orderly rows during prayer.

    Craftsmanship

    The carpet was made by 1,200 weavers using 38 tons of wool and cotton. It took years to create and was ordered before the mosque was even finished.

    Significance

    The carpet symbolizes luxury and cultural heritage. The green color represents Sheikh Zayed's preference, the Islamic flag, and desert life
