Bike Touring Highlight
The Moorhauser polder is a flood catchment basin of the Hunte, which is only used for pasture as agricultural land. As a result, the wetland protected nature reserve has a special importance as a refuge for the flora and fauna in the otherwise intensively used Hunteniederung. The meadows, which are often flooded in autumn and winter, are an important resting place for migrating birds, which can be watched excellently by the dyke surrounding the polder.
