At this point west of the "Klausner" at a fork in the road, the geology and dangers of the nearby cliffs are explained. Extract:"The steep bank at Dornbusch on Hiddensee in the Vorpommern Boddenland National Park is one of the steep banks on the German Baltic coast that is most affected by erosion. Collapses and landslides occur here again and again. The loose material that accumulates on the beach as a result is soon carried away by the sea. In this way, the coast retreats by an average of around 30 centimeters per year."
