The bronze sculpture "Freedom" or "Girl with a Ball" stands directly on the bike path in the village of Zwaagdijk-Oost.
The sculpture was created by the sculptor Jan van Velzen (deceased January 19, 2020) as one of several public sculptures in North Holland.
The sculpture was erected here in 1995 and symbolizes 50 years of freedom.
