MILL DE HOOP
In 1889, the builders laid the foundation stone of the De Hoop flour mill, one of at least 25 mills in the area. De Hoop has been in operation as a flour mill for more than 130 years. Until about 1930 the mill operated exclusively on wind power. Then supported by electrically driven grinding stones. To this day, the mill grinds flour for bread and pancakes.
