The Justitia fountain, built in 1537, is a representative running fountain with an octagonal basin. Justitia stands on its central column. Justice fountains are a popular motif in Switzerland and are usually found near town halls. The Justitia fountain originally stood on the Obstmarkt, was moved to Technikumstrasse in 1872 and brought back to Marktgasse in 1978.
