The reserve was established to protect picturesque karst springs and to preserve refuges for numerous bird species. Its heart is the vigorous vortexes pulsating at the bottom of the source pools. An interesting fact about this place is the unique color of the water of the Blue Springs.

Blue Springs are Wywierzyska, karst springs. Water springs here from cracked Jurassic limestone and its blue-green color depends on the intensity of sunlight. Small geysers of sand are thrown up by gushing spring water. Everything takes place in a wild landscape full of birds.
