The Cadiz City Hall building has a rich history dating back to the 16th century. The current construction began in 1799, designed by Torcuato Benjumeda in a neoclassical style. In 1861, Manuel García del Álamo carried out a remodeling in the Isabelline style, which mainly affected the interiors.
The façade of the building is notable for its smooth portico with semicircular arches and a large balcony with Ionic columns. In the center, a triangular pediment stands out with a relief of Hercules, the mythical founder of the city. The tower of the building, in the mannerist style, includes statues of the city's patrons, San Servando and San Germán.

The town hall in Cadiz has been located on the Plaza de San Juan de Dios since the 16th century and has been used as such ever since.
With its magnificent Ionic columns and tower, the town hall stands at the entrance to the historic old town.
