Tips
The hiking trail here, as so often in the Alb, leads through Jurassic limestone rocks. These were exposed by erosion over millions of years and are a special feature of the Swabian Alb. You are walking over what was once the seabed, as this was once the exact spot where the Jurassic Sea was located, covering large parts of Europe around 200 to 150 million years ago.
