A really beautiful trail. Not only is biking fun, but the view of the Bleiloch Dam is also beautiful.
The Bleiloch Dam is one of my favorite areas, whether biking, hiking, fishing or just relaxing, there are many very beautiful spots.

wonderful section. Single trail which offers several beautiful views of the Bleiloch reservoir, whether it is the dam or the view of the Saalburg beach and the boatyard.

You also pass the atonement cross
History: Until 1931 the stone cross stood 1000m southeast of its current location, not far from the old wooden bridge over the Saale, by an old ford, in what is now the reservoir area in the Kreuzfeld district. In February 1931 the cross was dug up by the Pöritzsch community and transported to its current location by sledge and re-erected by the Saalburg Beautification Association. The Pöritzsch community originally wanted to use the cross as a war memorial, but this was rejected by the State Office for Monument Preservation and Heritage Protection in Weimar.

Legend: The people believe it to be a French grave in which treasures were believed to be found, but also as a Swedish cross from the time of the Thirty Years' War or as a gathering point for pilgrimages.
