The landmarked covered house bridge from 1816 crosses the Ilm in Buchfart over a length of 43 meters and offers a track width of 3.20 meters. On both sides are narrow walkways for pedestrians. Through the sunken windows you have a beautiful view of the Ilm and a watermill.

A special attraction of the place is the 1816-1818 built, covered wooden bridge over the Ilm. (Until 1613, the bridge was made of stone.) The listed bridge has a length of 43 meters, a width of three meters and the headroom is 3, 05 meters. The bridge is still passable. The design is from the Weimar Building Council Carl Friedrich Christian Steiner. Next to the bridge is a listed watermill / Wikipedia
