Tourist magnet, very crowded almost every season. The spacious castle park is a beautiful year-round destination for long walks (bicycles are not allowed in the park)

The dream backdrop of the rondel in front of the castle grounds is one of the main attractions for every Munich tourist.

The Nympenburg Castle and its extensive park invite you to visit in any weather. If you go deeper into the park, the visitors get lost and you are relatively alone. Worth seeing: Pagoda Castle on the Small Lake, Apollo Temple on the Badenburg Lake, the small, inconspicuous and somewhat hidden pond in the northern end, there are magnificent dragonflies, the village with the green fountain house. There are also some trees with inhabitants that we rarely see: tawny owls and bats.

If there is still time, you can pass the Palmengarten palace café, towards Magdalenenklause, into the botanical garden. In bad weather, a visit to the Schlosswirtschat "Schwaige" or the Museum "Mensch-und Natur" is recommended.

Geocashers get their money's worth in and around the park. Cycling is prohibited.

    Have fun!

As far as I know you can not even push the bike. Unfortunately it has to stay outside.

On the northern side, near the Museum Man and Nature, there is a larger parking for bicycles, there is also the rental station for MVG wheels.

Nymphenburg Palace is always worthwhile. The castle itself can be visited, the parks are beautiful and not overcrowded at the right time of day. You shouldn't be there on Sunday around 2 p.m. if you are looking for peace and quiet.

A really beautiful castle with an impressive castle park. Visiting the castle is a good idea in rainy weather, otherwise the castle park is the better alternative. There are not too many rooms to visit for the entrance fee to the castle. Other castles offer a greater variety of information and a greater number of rooms, so, in my opinion, a visit to the castle is only worthwhile if you do not miss any other sights.

The castle Nymphenburg is one of the highlights in Munich. With its extensive palace parks and the large driveway, it served the Bavarian rulers as a summer residence and is one of the largest and most beautiful royal castles in Europe. It is the birthplace of King Ludwigs.
