If you turn right in front of the ticket office and take the short climb along a path, you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the salt pans of San Pedro. The fact that salt production has now declined is more than compensated for by the entrance fee (€6) to the salt pans. If you want to take a shower after bathing in the standing water, you will have to pay an additional €1.
