Liberation Routes

Following the war, Youth Work Actions were organized in Socialist Yugoslavia as large-scale voluntary efforts involving young people from various parts of the country. These actions aimed to develop infrastructure, such as roads, parks, and buildings, while also promoting social cohesion and ideological unity among youth. They were part of broader efforts to foster socialist values, collective work ethic, and patriotism among the younger generations. Participants often engaged in construction projects, agricultural work, and cultural activities, contributing to the country's development and promoting a sense of national pride and solidarity.

During the organization of the Federal Work Action for the construction of the Partizanski Put and the development of the Fruška Gora National Park in 1975, a Youth Settlement was established, named after the Fruška Gora Partisan Detachment, which began its activities in this area in 1941.

As part of the work action organized in 1978, a 7 km long Youth Work Brigades Trail was built, connecting several recreational areas and memorial sites. Within the Letenka complex, the graves of partisans Spasenija Ignjatović and Makso Perišin Banatski have been arranged. Also, two kilometers further down the Partizanski Put is another partisan grave of Boško Sanadrović Moša, designed in similar style as the Lepinjica's Grave by architect Milorad Berbakov.

Today, Letenka hosts the outdoor education programmes of the Institute for Sports and Youth of the government of Vojvodina province.
