Noordpolder is a wet nature reserve. The transitions from high to low, dry to wet, sand to clay create a unique landscape with special plants and animals. Natuurmonumenten and the Brabantse Delta Water Board work together in Noordpolder to develop moist and flowery grasslands. Many meadow birds breed in the area and there are ponds for dragonflies and amphibians. Looking out over the landscape, you might see a marsh harrier, a roe deer or a grazing barnacle goose. In spring, the play of colours of the marsh marigold, the real cuckoo flower and butterflies is a feast for the eyes.
