(1265 to 1321) - the great poet in Italian and creator of the above mentioned "Divine Comedy". Born in Florence, he died in Ravenna and here we find his final resting place. Let's wish him that he actually - like his literary alter ego - has arrived in heaven and that he has found his dearly beloved Beatrice there.
